Description

Open to rising third through twelfth graders. Students will:

Work with professional writers
Meet other young writers
Write poetry and prose
Participate in public readings and a book signing
Attend two field trips
Get published
Be heard!

Details

Camp runs three weeks
Monday through Friday for three hours
Rising 3rd through 12th graders
Students are divided into age-appropriate groups

Camp cost includes three weeks of writing workshops, daily snacks, a journal, T-shirt, and a copy of the Youth Voices in Ink anthology.

Please note: Parents will be responsible for dropping off and picking up their children at field trip destinations on field trip days.

Session I: June 7-June 25
Session II: July 19-August 6

North location (Hope Presbyterian Church at 11512 Olson Dr.)
Workshops for elementary, middle, and high school students.
9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.
This location will be open for both sessions.

Central Austin location (Austin Community College, Riverside Campus, at 1020 Grove Blvd.)
Workshops for elementary, middle, and high school students.
2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This location will be open in for Session I (June) only.

South location (Austin Waldorf School at 8700 South View Rd.)
Workshops for middle and high school students.
9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.
This location will be open in for Session I (June) only.
